Description of

There are three attribute types in ClassiX®:

• Preset material characteristic
• Calculated material characteristic
• Conditional material characteristic

Functionality

• Input window
• List window
• Selection window
• Test window

Input window

This window is used to maintain the attributes. It varies for the three attribute types, but behaves almost the same.

Menu

Close	Close window
Search	Call up list window

Buttons

button	Description
Data field	Call up selection window for dynamic data fields
Formula	Call up selection window for formulas
OK	Changes to the attribute object are saved. If no changes have been made, the button is locked.
New	The input window is cleared.
Delete	The displayed attribute object is deleted.
Close	The window is closed without saving changes. If you want to save the changes, you must press the "OK" button.

Preset	Default value
Validity	Verification of validity
Formula	Formula used

Note: Characteristics are clearly defined via the data field. Therefore, each data field should only be used once, otherwise unwanted results may occur when integrating the attributes within the quotation and order items

List window

Serves to list the attribute objects.

Buttons

button	Description
Edit	The current attribute object is displayed in the input window.
New	An empty input window opens.
Delete	The selected attribute object is deleted.
Close	The window is closed.

Search fields

Field	Description
Property feature	Dynamic data field of the attribute
Description

Selection window

This window is used to select an attribute object.

Buttons

button	Description
OK	The selected attribute object is taken over.
Close	The selection is cancelled.

Search fields

Field	Description
Description	Search by attribute description
Attribute name	Search by the attribute name of the attribute
Text internal	Search using the internal text of the attribute
Category	Search on the basis of the attribute table category of the attribute

Test window

This window is used to calculate the value of an attribute object. This functionality is used from other modules if, for example, you want to query the value of an attribute in a sub-item of an order to check how the value is calculated or determined from the characteristics of the sub-item itself and the higher-level items.

Feature	The name of a characteristic can either be entered directly in the adjacent field or an attribute can be selected from the attributes defined in the system
