Vocabulary
Description
This app is used to maintain any multilingual vocabulary and is part of the multilingual dictionary in ClassiX®. It can record words or entire sentences (e.g. idioms) - so-called phrases - in any language, and the corresponding translations into other languages can be maintained at the same time. Since a word in a language can have several meanings at the same time, each word is directly assigned to one or more meanings, which - each meaning in itself - are or can be assigned to other words in other languages.
Additional information about a word - such as part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, etc.), numerus (singular, plural, plural noun, etc.), case, genus, etc. allow a word to be output with all its properties by means of the grammar rules for the individual languages stored in the module: for nouns, for example, with the definite article, the singular and plural form, as well as its declension.
The number and type of languages is set in the system settings; by default, the languages German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and Russian are stored in the dictionary.
A built-in repetitor helps to learn words of any language.

"Complex naming" (e.g. stock management), "multi-word naming" (e.g. time to market) and "phraseologisms" (routine formulae, idioms, twin formulae, idioms) can be selected as additional types. "Abbreviations" of a word are maintained with the spelling app. Words are also categorised according to the two word classes content words (open word class) and function words (closed word class). The word types articles, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions and auxiliaries belong to the word class function words, all other word types belong to the content words. If a word type that belongs to the function words is selected, the field Area is automatically assigned to the function words. This classification is stored as the classification term "WORD_TYPE" in the system data and can be further customised there according to your own requirements. |

Spellings
This app is used to store different spellings of a main word, in particular its abbreviations. If a word is recorded as a "spelling" with this app, the word assigned to it is considered the actual main word and is usually displayed.
Abbreviated words (abbreviated terms) are pure abbreviations (e.g. Stck. for piece), initial words, i.e. only the initial letters are used (e.g. IT for information technology) and acronyms where complex terms are displayed with initial letters/syllables (e.g. ELSTER for electronic tax return).
The mathematical spelling of number words (e.g. 1 for one) is also maintained here.

Tutor
The functionality of this mask corresponds to that of a vocabulary trainer:

| Start | The repetitor starts with word output. In the title of the window, the number of words selected for the query is displayed according to the default settings. The number of words in brackets behind the title is the number of words that are due for translation, i.e. words that have not yet been or could not be successfully translated by the user. If a word to be translated is output, the following appears first  button , which allows the system to output the translated word without any further waiting time. When this button is pressed, the word "unknown" to the user remains in the list of words requested and will be offered again for translation by the user at a later date. The system then offers another word for translation and the query cycle starts again from the beginning.If the user initially translates the displayed word only for himself and waits for the preset waiting time, the system displays the translated word. In addition, the following appears for the duration of the preset learning time  Button: at the moment the button is pressed by the user, the word to be translated is considered to be "known" by the user and will not be offered for translation again (in this query round). The query cycle starts again from the beginning.If the user allows the learning time to elapse without pressing the button, the word is considered "not known" and will be asked again later. Afterwards the query cycle starts again from the beginning. |
